Rise Bakery provides a one-of-a-kind gluten-free experience with an expansive menu of baked goods. What sets us apart from other gluten-free bakeries is that we are here to expand allergen-free options for specialty diets without sacrificing taste, texture, or richness. We craft all of our pastries by hand in small batches using premium ingredients. As DC’s only gluten-free bakery, our knowledgeable staff offers a welcoming environment in which you can dine worry-free. We are actively wholesaling our breads, bagels and sweets to local markets and cafes as we continue to pursue our goal of making living gluten-free in DC a breeze.
Owner Mike Koritko, who was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2004, opened Rise Bakery to offer an alternative dining experience. Our storefront in Adams Morgan is a must-visit for anyone with food allergies. We love serving a child her first cinnamon roll or an adult his first freshly baked bagel in years. Whether enjoying a buttery croissant, chatting with our knowledgeable staff, or ordering a mouth-watering birthday cake, our goal is to offer a dining experience unlike any other. Be on the lookout as our breads, bagels and select sweets are increasingly available at local markets and cafes.
Visit our store at: 2409 18th Street Northwest, Washington, D.C. 20009 to sample a variety of bread and pastry and enjoy some locally sourced coffee.
There is a Colonial Parking garage located directly behind the bakery which makes it very convenient to drive here. It costs $3 for the first half hour you stay there. If you'll be staying longer, we validate parking passes at a rate of $4 for two hours. Our parking validation cards are only valid until 5pm on weekends.
